Moving our Schools Forward

SERF awards grants through a grant application process.

Teachers Curriculum Specialists, Administrators, even parents and students are encouraged to apply.

Mini grants are available for short-term projects, staff development activities or curriculum enhancement totaling $750 or less.

Enrichment grants are intended for largest scale projects exceeding $750.

2008-2009 deadlines for application submissions are:

Not surprisingly we have seen a significant increase in the number of grant requests. This fall. SERF received 25 grant requests, representing and increase of 45% over last year.


Our Mission

The Sudbury Education Resource Fund, Inc. (SERF) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to enriching, enhancing and supporting Sudbury’s public schools, from kindergarten through high school. Since its establishment in 1991, SERF has played a critical role by providing supplementary grants to the schools augmenting classroom learning opportunities, expanding the curriculum and promoting professional development. The Sudbury Education Resource Fund does not provide operating funds.

SERF is run by an elected Board of Directors who represents the diverse interests and resources of the community. The Board is responsible for all fund-raising activity and for fiscal management of the organization. Funds are raised through donations from individuals and businesses as well as a variety of public events. SERF is open to parents, students, teachers and other interested citizens.
